These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Focus Buddy mobile application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Focus Buddy grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App.

2. Accounts

Some features require signing in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and be of legal age to enter into these Terms.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

• Focus Buddy offers optional subscriptions (monthly, yearly, lifetime) and one-time in-app purchases for premium features and cosmetic items.
• Payment is charged to the app store account you purchased through, at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in that store account's settings.
• Refunds are handled by the app store that processed your purchase, according to its policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
• Prices may change; we will provide notice where required.

4. App Blocking Feature

The App Blocking feature is a productivity aid that shows reminders when you open distracting apps during a focus session. It is not a security or parental-control tool and may not block every app in all situations. You remain responsible for your own device use.

5. Virtual Items & Rewards

Coins, XP, pets, decorations, and other virtual items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be modified or discontinued. They are licensed, not sold, to you for use within the App.

6. User Conduct

When using social or shared features, you agree not to harass others, post unlawful or offensive content, or interfere with the operation of the App.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, artwork, characters, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or content without permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements or improve your productivity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
